My research

I have a few beliefs that underpin my approach to research

  • Being a scientist-practitioner means more than just reading the research. It is about applying it and conducting it (at a suitable scale) in our own work. For this reason, much of my academic work has been focused on applied topics

  • Research does not need to be overly complicated. There are methods of conducting and communicating research that make it more readily interpretable to a broader audience

  • For all my research, my interest is in how it can be useful to others and how we can take that information into practice
